The Gardens of Binixabo
There are olive, fig, lemon, and pine trees on the drive leading up to the main Villa along with various species of cacti. The aloe vera cactus is particularly beneficial and soothing on the skin. Along the lower road leading to the Garage you will find Mimosas and other trees whilst Pedro is planting vines and various native rock plants along the retaining wall. The main garden has been developed by Pedro over many years and is designed to provide colour, scent, and tranquillity these effects are enhanced by the sight and gentle sounds of our central fountain, this has recently been renovated and re-tiled by Pedro in the Gaudi of Barcelona style. The fountain starts automatically at 6:00pm and switches off at 10:00pm. You will see Pedro tending to the Swimming pool and the Gardens between 5 and 7pm Monday to Friday. He is a rare gem, and will gladly make time to answer any questions about the property. However, please remember that he only speaks Spanish, so “poc a poc” (little by little)!
Sunset is the ideal time to relax sitting by the fountain, take a drink and
absorb this very special place and moment in time – the large palm trees are
very old and priceless, so enjoy! And don't forget to visit
our Tortoise reserve! These Natives are lovingly fed and cared for by
Pedro in the walled area behind the Villa, the youngest are very well
camouflaged so please take care when walking on the grass. Explore the gardens of Bixabo below, click on the Thumbnails at left to "supesrsize"
